Center Mission
The CISEDS aims to conduct precompetitive research and develop the workforce for materials and interfacing issues that will be important for future generations of electronics. This includes research on complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology, power electronics, 2D materials, and flexible electronics. Through this work, the Center aims to help advance the state-of-the-art in these fields and support the development of new technologies that will be critical for a wide range of applications.
CISEDS is a semiconductor research center we aim to create. It will be based at NC State University and Purdue University. The center focuses on precompetitive research and training talents related to materials and interfacing issues, like in CMOS devices, power electronics, 2D materials, memories, and flexible electronics. We look into both the electrical and thermal interfaces. The center welcomes various companies, with fab, w/o fabs, tools and process companies, and also those on modeling and simulations.
